Dal 22 al 25 gennaio 2009, stazioni speciali dall’Inghilterra, saranno operativi per commemorare il 100° anniversario dell’acclamazione dell’EROE, radiotelegrafista “Jack Binns” , per l’uso della telegrafia nei salvataggi delle vite umane in mare, inoltre dagli Stati Uniti, saranno operative altre due stazioni per commemorare la collisione trai due battelli SS REPUBLIC e SS FLORIDA.

- Two stations, representing:
- SS Republic (Call sign MKC) as W1AA/MKC

- The two stations plan to be on the amateur bands on Jan 23 from 0001Z to 0400Z and on Jan 24th from1200Z to 2000Z. Both SSB and CW modes will be used.
